COVID-19

We want everyone to feel as safe as possible, guests and staff, and to manage this we have put in place policies and procedures in line with the Government of Jersey guidelines. We ask our guests to respect the guidelines and work with us to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience.

  • We cannot accept any guest from a COVID-19 designated amber/red region due to compulsory isolation requirements.

  • Only guests with pre-booked reservations will be accepted. We recommend that people do not just arrive at the hostel, to avoid disappointment.

  •  A Check-In Form will be emailed prior to arrival for completion and return to us. This will include a health declaration in relation to Covid-19.

  • For breakfast, we are unable to offer our usual buffet breakfasts. Guests are requested to complete a pre-breakfast order form and the dishes will be delivered to the table on a tray. For the 1st morning, the order form will be emailed prior to arrival for completion.

  • The breakfast room will have suitably distanced tables and guests are requested to use the table allocated to their room number for the duration of the visit.

  • After breakfast the room will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, then locked for the remainder of the day.

  • You will be asked to pay the balance of your visit prior to arrival either by bank transfer or by telephoning the office with card details.

  • If a payment is made at reception, the PDQ machine will be sanitised after every use.

  • All guests are required to sanitise their hands each time on entering the hostel.

  • A Perspex screen has been installed at reception.

  • Physical distancing as per the latest guidance must be respected at all times when moving around the building and using the common areas.

  • The Information Board will direct guests to the required route to their bedrooms.

  • Staff will not enter a guest’s bedroom for the duration of the visit and we would ask guests to dispose of their waste bin in a securely tied liner and placed in the dustbin located in the courtyard.

  • If a guest needs additional bedding or towels – please just ask at reception.

  • Cleaning practices will be operated in all the general areas regularly throughout the day.

  • After a room has been vacated it will be cleaned and left locked for 3 days before re-using.

  • An alfresco café is open Wednesday – Sunday, inclusive, from 09.00 hours.

  • As much as possible we have created a ‘bubble’ at the hostel – only Hostel Residents and Staff may pass into the hostel building at entry point. Members of the general public, deliveries etc will be attended to in the main entrance hall only. We appreciate that some of our guests may be visiting Jersey to meet up with family or friends living in the Island, we would ask please that hostel residents do not invite guests into the hostel building.

  • At the present time we are unable to offer the use of the sauna, the laundry room or the self- catering kitchen.

Arriving into the Island
